Here's how it came to be: The sound of the word murmuration and the beauty of Starlings swooping together in collective formation... mixed with listening to this: Garth Lenz, The True Cost of Oil.
I wrote the first version of the song and sang it to Chris but he wasn't keen on the words so I changed them, it was a challenge - some songwriters can turn politics into poetry with ease, and my attempt is ambiguous.
We went Tony's studio and enlisted the help of Dave McGowan on Bass, and Stu Kidd on Drums, they did a great job in a short space of time, then Tony and Chris added all sorts of interesting sounds, the track was then mixed and sent to Abbey Road for mastering.
The music video is an edited version of Disneyland Dream directed by Robbins Barstow, July 1956
Vocals and piano - Claire Patricia Campbell, Other sounds - Chris Geddes and Tony Doogan, Bass - Dave McGowan, Drums - Stu Kidd. Produced by Tony Doogan and Chris Geddes and Mastered by Frank Arkwright.
